In the golden light of morning
Everything is fresh and new
Every cloud is down below us
And the sky’s a brighter blue
All the storms that raged above us
Raced away into the night
Wind and rain that howled around us
Clouds in lightning-laden flight
Cleaned the world as they swept through
So the sun would shine the brighter
Mountain snows made that much whiter
Every green a sharper hue
