the sharp edge of faith

I have a strong feeling of empathy for atheism: I can’t truly accept the reality of any God that I could understand, or in whom I would believe. How could a thimble truly believe in the ocean? What would be the point of believing in an ocean the size of a thimble? But then again, once it is filled with that ocean’s water, to deny it is even less possible. This is the sharp edge of faith.
